WHAT KEEPS US MOVIN’…

You’ve been invited to play with us via a special QR code. (Aren’t you fancy?) Each quarter we’ll share a list of things that inspire our curiosity.

Maya Ford, Principal at FordMomentum!

Our first Playlist for 2022 is a music list organized by meeee! (Maya Ford) You’ve grown to count on FM! to poke, prod, collect and disseminate information, right? It’s not a linear process, as we’re inspired to ask the right questions by many things in the world around us.

I’m a pretty noisy person in thought, character, and sound. I have a healthy understanding and relationship with Chaos, and find comfort in the way music can organize noise to produce something that can drive us to…think? do? connect? Perhaps you’ll notice this musical playlist has a lot of the same rhythms, melodies, and “feel”. I wanted to show you all that around the world, we’re more connected and alike in what keeps us movin’ than we are different. I listen to many other sounds that aren’t alike, too. For example, I contracted COVID19 in December of 2021 and spent my time in quarantine listening to the differences between brown sound in space and white noise on Earth. (To be honest, I can’t tell the difference, but the exercise was fun.)

In a new year with so many unknowns, I invite you to find comfort in knowing that someone beats to your drum - even if you don’t know them. May you enjoy this method of my joy in exploration. Check back in a few months to see who’s presented something new in the FM! Playlist. We are a reflection of you, so it’s bound to be brilliant.

Of course, if you see or hear something that inspires you, buzz us. We want to know what you’re playing with, too!

- Maya.
